The courts were alive with the sound of dribbling basketball as BBA hosted its Spring Camp from 26th March to 5th April 2024. With three locations – GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail (WEK), GEMS Wellington International School Al Sufouh (WIS), and GEMS Metropole School Motor City (MTS) – the BBA Spring Camp catered to players of all levels, ages 5 to 16, promising a memorable experience packed with skill-building, camaraderie and fun!

Elite Training at GEMS WEK

At WEK, our Elite and MVP players were put through their paces with intensive 3-hour training sessions. Led by seasoned coaches and former professional players, these sessions were tailored to challenge and refine the skills of our most advanced athletes, pushing them to new heights of excellence.

Beginner and Advanced Sessions

Meanwhile, at WIS and MTS, our Beginner and Advanced players delved into 1.5-hour training sessions designed to foster a love for the game while honing fundamental skills. From mastering the perfect layup to sharpening defense maneuvers, every session was a step towards basketball mastery.

Admirable Dedication during Ramadan:

As fate would have it, our Spring Camp coincided with the holy month of Ramadan. Despite the challenges of fasting, many of our dedicated players persevered, attending sessions with determination and admirable commitment. Their resilience and passion for the game truly embodied the spirit of BBA.

With a fantastic turnout and enthusiastic participation from our young athletes and families alike, the BBA Spring Camp was a resounding success. Whether it was making new friends, mastering new skills, or simply enjoying the thrill of the game, everyone left the courts with memories to last a lifetime.

Beyond the basketball drills and skills, what truly set our Spring Camp apart was the sense of community and camaraderie that permeated the moment. From high-fives after a well-executed play to words of encouragement during challenging drills, our players exemplified teamwork and sportsmanship, embodying the core values of BBA. 

As the final day concluded, the Spring Camp left an indelible mark on all who participated. With hearts full of pride and a newfound passion for the game, our young athletes departed, ready to take on new challenges.
